Capture the quiet character of empty school interiors with Quiet School Ambiences by West Wolf, a detailed ambience library recorded in several schools across Bulgaria during summer vacation.
This collection focuses on old Eastern European school buildings with distinctive acoustic character, including creaking doors, quiet corridors, classrooms, toilets, basement spaces, and even an attic inhabited by pigeons. The recordings preserve the natural atmosphere of schools when students are away and only subtle building sounds, distant activity, and environmental details remain.
Some recordings were captured in a small-town school with very little traffic noise, where the ambience is shaped by quiet interiors, light birdsong, and natural stillness. Other atmospheres were recorded in a larger city near a main boulevard, adding heavier distant traffic and urban background texture. Select tracks also include light human activity from teachers on duty or security staff, including footsteps, distant voices, and subtle movement within the building.
The library also includes several distinctive school door recordings captured from both classroom and corridor perspectives, offering different reverberation and spatial character. Additional details include lights turning on and off, alternate stereo setups, and bonus tracks related to the main recordings. Many recordings were captured with two stereo setups at the same time, often facing different directions or using different configurations to provide more flexibility in post-production.
Whether you are designing classrooms, corridors, institutional interiors, abandoned schools, summer vacation settings, documentary scenes, drama, mystery, horror, or realistic room tones, Quiet School Ambiences provides authentic school atmospheres with subtle detail and natural spatial character.
