HumBuzz is a versatile collection 113 tech-noise-sounds with a length from 7 to 27 seconds. The files were created by capturing the electromagnetic fields of fridges, microwaves, boilers, cell phones, TVs and computers.
The recorded sounds have a complex structure of noise-patterns that often cover huge frequency ranges – and therefore offer an inspiring resource for event-driven foleys, scoring or interface design. Surprisingly many of the sounds contain strong tonal elements that can be filtered out and pitched into useful scales. So even tuned instruments are just some tiny tweaks away.
With background experience in video editing, I understand what is needed when it come to sound for TV production. With this and my love for sound I founded Detunized in 2009. Under the Detunized brand I release themed sound libraries that are handy in size and will allow the sound editor to quickly find what they are looking for whilst working on a production with tight schedules.
