The Western Europe’s kingdom of ancient castles, museums, beautiful parks, cathedrals and fortresses, the capital of beer, chocolate, waffles and Art Nouveau style!

Suburbs of Chicago: Lagoon is the second installment in the Suburbs of Chicago Series. This package contains ambiences from a suburban lagoon. There is no shortage of bird chirps, leaves and grass rustling in the wind, and bike pass bys. Canoe Paddling, both distant and close, can be heard as one of the outdoor activities. As in any suburb, there are distant cars and distant planes. There is also 20 minutes of various car passes on a side road. 18 files wrap up this small package and over 300+ sounds for a duration of over 2 hours! All files are metadata tagged using Basehead and exported at 48kHz, 24 Bit.

Suburbs of Chicago: Spring is filled with various ambiences and room tones all recorded in the springtime. This environment includes distant cars, car pass, motorcycle pass, bird chirps, close and distant lawnmowers, dog barks, leaf rustles, wet streets wind chimes, a tennis match. and even a dripping sewer!
As an added bonus, this pack also includes inside a Hyundai Sonata driving during pouring rain, and while parked. Recordings are all exported as stereo 96kHz, 24 Bit stereo .wav files. Files range in length anywhere between 2 minutes and 55 minutes for ultimate creative control, or for the enjoinment of listening.
All recorded using the Sennheiser MKH8050/30 and MKH20/30 in MS, Audio Technica AT2022 in XY, Zoom H1 XY, and the Sound Devices USBPre2 into the Tascam DR70d.
All files are meta-data tagged using Basehead.

“The Zinc Mines” is a collection of high quality ambient and close up recordings from within the various levels, drifts, shafts and caverns of the underground Zinc Mines located in Grue, Norway.
Specifically these recordings were done in the mines called “Nysetergruvene”. The atmosphere inside the mountain mine is cold and wet, with water dripping between levels, trickling down shafts and dripping in large pools.
The recordings vary from extremely quiet and sparse dripping to gushing intense waterfalls with varying distance to source.

Urban Crows
Urban Crows is a library full of interesting sounds of single crows and swarms.
These proud birds deserve a lot more attention than they usually get. They are amazingly intelligent, social and by no means aggressive or monotonous when it comes to their communication capabilities.
The library evolved throughout winter 2015/16 and was taken from the attic of a house surrounded by trees were the crows frequently stayed overnight. So it was a great pleasure to record them arriving in the evenings as well as hearing them chatting during the dawn. They have a huge arsenal of clearly distinguishable single caws, funny sighs or nervous screams that often evolved to a huge cluster of noises that became stronger when the church bells began to ring and the sun came up.

Many years of trekking in the Dovre mountains (Dovrefjell) at heights from 900 to 1200 masl. and temperatures reaching down to -20°C, has led to many unique recordings.
My main goal when on Dovrefjell was to capture the “sound” of the harsh climate that dominates up there. Subsequently it was hard to avoid the ever restless wind. But it can be quite tricky to capture the sound of wind (or rather the sound of wind on or through objects) and there are only some “sweet spots”, in this vast high altitude climate scattered with rocks and tiny trees, that will generate a good recording. These recordings were done crouching behind rocks, on cliff sides, on top of summits, behind weathered shelters, old mountain farms and bushes. Partially freezing my hands off, operating recording equipment.

And last but not least: Wherever in Wroclaw you are it is for sure that you will hear any bells of the numerous churches and sacral buildings.
